Scoliosis is defined as a sideways curve in one or more segments of the spine. It occurs because of a muscle skeletal disorder that cause an abnormal curve of the spine or backbone. There are three different types of scoliosis. The first is known as idiopathic scoliosis, which is the most common form and effects 65% of individuals. The second type of scoliosis is known as congenital scoliosis which effects. The final type of scoliosis is known as neuromuscular scoliosis.
This type can be induced due to previous disorders including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and polio. Dr. Kim diagnosis an individual with scoliosis using a three-stage system. The first stage is severe muscle ache and fatigue. The second stage is unusual soreness that is not caused by physical activity. The last stage is irregular bowl movements.
